The Hawaiian sun is intense...exposing a new tattoo will not only be painful but will be very detrimental to the outcome of your work.
Bacteria such as Staph, MRSA and Strep are present in the sand and waters of our lovely beaches. Pool water and spas are sanitized with powerful chemicals that are quite damaging to a new tattoo.
When we advise you to stay away from these elements, it is for a very good reason!
IF YOU ARE VISITING HAWAII, SCHEDULE YOUR TATTOO WORK FOR THE LAST FEW DAYS.
Don't be disappointed...plan ahead and make an appointment!
AFTER CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Our aftercare instructions come to us under the advise of Dr. Kris Sperry, Chief Pathologist for the state of Georgia.
DAY ONE Leave bandage on for at least 2 hours! Remove bandage and wash area with warm water and soapy hands...NO washcloth! Gently dry tattoo with clean towel! Apply WATER based lotion the first day...DO NOT REBANDAGE!
DAY TWO Wash tattoo area w/hand and soapy water. Towel dry. Apply lotion a couple of times a day. Leave it alone!
DAY THREE through......when your tattoo has stopped flaking and you feel nothing but 'skin'....you can stop the lotion.
USE QUALITY LOTIONS such as Curel or Lubriderm. Apply moisturizing lotion a few times a day as needed. Continue until skin surface feels smooth to the touch. Do not use generics.
